About Our Captain
Full Sail Adventures' journey began when an 18 year old, wide eyed, small town, midwesterner stepped onto Shelter Island, San Diego and gazed upon a sailboat for the first time. A harbor filled with them in fact. That seed was planted deep and watered over time while cruising the world with the U.S. Navy. The purchase of an ice boat to sail on frozen Lake Erie, tied with crewing for yacht clubs in summer. Finally buying and sailing boats in Lake Erie, Chesapeake Bay, Bermuda, Caribbean and Atlantic Ocean voyages all culminated into becoming a USCG Captain and certified American Sailing Association (ASA) Instructor.
